  • Employment in certain industries (such as adult entertainment or gambling-related businesses) is strictly prohibited.
  • Students cannot begin work until the permit is granted.
  • Typical part-time jobs include cafes, convenience stores, office work, translation, and research assistance.
  • Hourly wages typically range from JPY 1,000–2,000.
